Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password credentials protected through WordPress, email-verification status, account preferences, and records of your acceptance of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

If you voluntarily request promotional email, we record your choice, the date and source of that choice, and later changes to that preference.

We automatically receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website. This may include IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, authentication events, error logs, security events, and essential cookie or session identifiers.

We do not intentionally collect payment-card information, government identification numbers, brokerage credentials, prop-firm credentials, or personal trading-account credentials through the TopPropShops account system.

How We Use Information

We use personal information only as reasonably necessary to:

• Create, verify, secure, and administer user accounts.
• Provide access to Compare Firms, Rating System, and related account features.
• Send verification, password-reset, security, and service messages.
• Record and honor communication choices.
• Respond to support, privacy, and account requests.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and automated attacks.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve website reliability.
• Comply with applicable law and protect users, TOPPROPSHOPS, and the public.
• Send promotional email when the user has affirmatively requested it.

We do not use account creation or acceptance of our Terms as permission to send promotional email.

No Sale or Third-Party Marketing

TOPPROPSHOPS does not sell, rent, trade, or provide personal information to prop firms, advertisers, affiliates, parent companies, data brokers, or other third parties for their independent marketing.

We do not use purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party email lists. We do not allow another company to market to users based solely on their TopPropShops registration.

TOPPROPSHOPS does not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

Necessary Service Providers

Limited information may be processed by providers that perform services for TOPPROPSHOPS, such as website hosting, WordPress infrastructure, security, backups, and email delivery through Resend. These providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services and are not authorized by TOPPROPSHOPS to use the information for their own marketing.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce our agreements, or protect rights, safety, and property. If the website or its operations are reorganized or transferred, information may be included in that transaction subject to applicable law and continued protection.

Email Choices

Verification, password-reset, account-security, and material service notices are transactional messages associated with an account.

Promotional email is optional. The marketing option is not selected by default. Promotional messages are sent only after an affirmative choice by the user and verification of the submitted email address.

You may withdraw marketing permission at any time through Account preferences or an unsubscribe link. Withdrawal does not affect access to public or restricted website features and does not prevent necessary account or security messages.

Cookies

TOPPROPSHOPS uses cookies and similar storage necessary for WordPress authentication, security, sessions, and preferences. The initial implementation does not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral tracking.

If analytics, advertising, or additional tracking is introduced later, this Policy and any required consent interface must be updated before that technology is activated.

Affiliate Links and External Websites

Some website links are affiliate or referral links, and TOPPROPSHOPS may receive compensation when a visitor follows a link or purchases from a third party. We do not provide the visitor’s TopPropShops account information or email address to that third party.

When you choose to visit an external website, that website may independently receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address, browser details, and referring URL. Any information you submit there is governed by that third party’s privacy policy.

Retention

We retain account information while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when necessary for account administration, security, backups, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Verification tokens expire and are invalidated. Consent and unsubscribe records may be retained as evidence that communication choices were honored. Information no longer reasonably required will be deleted or de-identified according to operational and legal requirements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their passwords and reporting suspected unauthorized access.

Privacy Choices and Rights

Users may review supported account information and marketing preferences through the Account interface. Users may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of their information through the legal contact address. We may verify identity before completing a request and may retain limited information where required or permitted by law.

Depending on location, users may have additional rights, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing and to withdraw consent. TOPPROPSHOPS will evaluate properly submitted requests under applicable law.

Because TOPPROPSHOPS does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, it does not currently offer a separate “Do Not Sell or Share” process. If those practices change, the appropriate notice and controls must be implemented first.

Children

The website is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that such information has been submitted, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

International Use

TOPPROPSHOPS is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or in locations where necessary service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

Changes

We may update this Policy when the website, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will identify a new effective date. Material changes affecting registered users will receive additional notice when reasonably appropriate.
